Blake Gansborg
 

Blake Gansborg’s legal practice focuses on complex commercial litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. Prior to joining WTO, Blake spent several years as a litigation associate at a large, international law firm in New York. He represented banks, investment managers, private equity funds, military defense contractors and other corporate clients in complex commercial and securities litigations. He was also selected for a secondment to Barclays’ in-house legal team, where he specialized in regulatory investigations concerning potential financial misconduct and commercial litigation involving complex financial products. 

Blake has also represented corporate clients in governmental and internal investigations, including matters involving the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission and other securities self-regulatory organizations. Blake’s practical experience includes researching and drafting various pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and legal research memoranda, and explaining legal issues to clients. Blake also has been involved in all aspects of discovery, including conducting depositions and managing complex discovery processes.

Blake earned his J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was honored with the Saul L. Nadler Memorial Award for high performance in commercial law, corporate law, creditor’s rights and securities regulation classes. He also received Book Awards in “Commercial Transactions” and “Accounting for Lawyers.”
