Partner Tamera Westerberg Named Top Woman Lawyer

DENVER: Law Week Colorado has named WTO partner Tamera Westerberg a 2015 Top Woman Lawyer. Tammy was specifically recognized for her complex commercial and professional liability practices. The newspaper writes, "As a lawyer who represents others, she understands the concern that comes about when someone's livelihood is under attack, but she also understands damage control."

In the past year, Tammy successfully resolved four major, multiyear lawsuits, each involving numerous and complex claims, multiple litigants and lawyers, and hostile third parties acting to influence litigation from outside. She even handled one of the suits pro bono. In all of these, she acted discreetly and effectively for her clients when their reputations were on the line.

Tammy actively mentors younger lawyers and co-directs WTO's legal residency program. A mother of four, including two daughters, Tammy is passionate about supporting girls' leadership initiatives. "In law and business today we constantly talk about women's leadership and encouraging more women to reach the top of their fields. I also think we can start that conversation—and provide training and tools to be successful—when girls are still young, before they have any reason to think or feel they can't succeed right alongside the boys."
