Ramona Lampley Selected as One of the Denver Business Journal's Forty Under 40 Honorees
The Denver Business Journal selected Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell associate Ramona Lampley as one of its 2012 Forty Under 40 award winners. The 40 rising stars were selected from over 300 candidates nominated based on their business leadership, recognition of accomplishments, and community involvement in Denver.
Ramona's national civil litigation practice focuses on commercial matters, construction defect claims, personal injury defense, and class actions. In the last year, Ramona helped win summary judgment in a complex case involving the deaths of five workers at a hydro-electric plant. Her efforts helped convince the court that her client had no liability. Another major accomplishment from 2011 was her successful facilitation of a resolution between a grief-stricken family and a medical team in an emotionally intense medical malpractice matter involving the death of a patient from a complication during a routine surgery.
In addition to donating her legal services for pro bono
work and mentoring Denver's youth as well as law students, Ramona is the current chair of the board of directors for The Gathering Place. In this role she helps oversee strategic planning and development for Denver's only daytime refuge for women and children who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. She also volunteers in TGP's kitchen, at its holiday fair, and for other special events.
