Amy DeVan oversees operations for the national civil litigation boutique, Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell. The firm’s 100 trial lawyers and litigators and 100 staff serve sophisticated clients in high-stakes and complex disputes in trial and appellate courts nationwide.
A licensed attorney, Amy has spent a significant part of her career advancing ethics in the legal profession. Before joining WTO in 2016, Amy founded and managed Principle Legal Consulting, which proactively helped lawyers and law firms comply with ethical rules and regulatory requirements. Amy conducted law firm audits, helped implement compliance plans, and trained staff. She has served as Executive Director of the Colorado Independent Ethics Commission and as Assistant Regulation Counsel for the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel.
Additionally, Amy is the former Chair of the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee. She also spent more than eight years practicing in the field of immigration law. A frequent author and speaker, Amy has published numerous articles and regularly presents to local, state, and national organizations on matters of professional responsibility and legal ethics.
