Biography

Chris Byer represents sophisticated businesses and corporations in complex commercial litigation nationwide. His experience includes cases involving breach of contract, misappropriation, and conspiracy. Chris has gained valuable courtroom experience, having successfully argued for a permanent restraining order.  He has drafted motions, pleadings, and other written arguments in multiple cases. 

Prior to joining WTO, Chris worked as an associate at the Denver office of an AmLaw 200 firm. He also worked as a Law Clerk in the Second Judicial District of Colorado where he drafted appellate opinions, orders on motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions, and prepared bench memoranda in multiparty litigations. 

Cases

  • Won a permanent restraining order—as well as the subsequent appeal—for an individual and their employer against members of a hate organization. Served as first chair in the hearing and handled all witness examinations.
  • Won a preliminary injunction for a home warranty company against a competitor that had poached employees and encouraged them to disclose trade secret information.
  • Represent ski and snowsports recreation clients in personal injury matters.
