2022 INTERNSHIP INITIATIVE WITH DELTA ETA BOULÉ

LUMEN TECHNOLOGIES LAW FIRM DIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

WTO partners with Lumen in this novel program to create meaningful retention and advancement opportunities for diverse attorneys.
A diverse or female WTO associate commits to spend significant time working on Lumen matters.
In turn, Lumen opens its doors to diverse associates, inviting them to see how high-level business decisions are made.
Partner involvement and collaboration between competitors sets the program apart.
The program achieves diversity, professional growth, and community in ways not seen when mentoring occurs only vertically within one company.

DENVER LAW FIRM COALITION FOR RACIAL EQUITY

WTO co-founded the Coalition in 2020 with four other Denver-based law firms to promote racial equity in Denver’s legal community.
All five member firms jointly recruited diverse candidates to Denver from Chicago-area law schools.
The goal is to make Denver an appealing destination for diverse attorneys, not any specific firm.
Rather than treat diversity as a scarcity to compete over, Coalition firms, and the community, win when Denver becomes more diverse.
In 2022, representatives from WTO and Coalition firms traveled to Chicago and jointly recruited diverse, Chicago-area law students.

LAW SCHOOL.... YES WE CAN!

Together, Coalition firms have pledged $125,000 over five years to support LSYWC in its exciting pipeline work.
Numerous WTO lawyers mentor students through their entire undergraduate experience and LSAT prep to help them get into law school.
WTO also supports LSYWC with a scholarship to help graduates work less and devote more time to LSAT study.
