BTI Consulting: WTO Among Top 14 "Most Feared" Firms

Date: 09.19.19

Denver: The BTI Consulting Group has recognized Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell (WTO) among the 14 most imposing litigation firms in the nation.

WTO is featured in the list of “Awesome Opponents,” alongside such firms as Boies Schiller, Morrison & Foerster, and Williams & Connolly.

Specifically, general counsel named WTO—without prompting—when asked which firms they most fear across the table.

“Clients tell [us] these are the firms they most fear seeing on the other side of the table because they are relentless, very smart, and play to win—and win big,” the report stated. BTI interviewed more than 350 legal decision-makers at companies with $1 billion or more in revenue.

“We love to collaborate with clients on the tough cases,” said WTO Chairman Michael O’Donnell. “Clearly, our passion—and the results we deliver with it—shows.”

According to BTI, the listed firms share four top traits: they all display killer instincts, thrive on complexity, feature benches that are as strong as the stars, and know how to read the tea leaves and anticipate what is coming.

Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell lawyers have taken more than 1,300 trials, arbitrations, and appeals to verdict, award, or opinion in 45 states and Washington, D.C., with exceptional results for our clients. Established in 1998, WTO currently numbers 110 lawyers. The firm represents sophisticated clients in high-stakes civil trials, appeals, and related litigation ranging from complex commercial to class actions to multidistrict litigation.
