Biography

Carolyn Welter represents clients in complex commercial litigation, franchise, and competition matters. She has diverse experience in the courts, state government, and the private and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining WTO, Carolyn served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Brian D. Boatright of the Colorado Supreme Court. She also served legal internships with the Hon. N. Reid Neureiter and Colorado Governor Jared Polis. Carolyn graduated law school in the top 3 percent of her class. 

In law school, Carolyn was the recipient of the Order of the Coif, the Wilson Hurt Oral Advocate Award, the Hartje Objective Writing Award, the Reese Persuasive Writing Award, and Scholastic Excellence Awards
 

Cases

  • Helped secure a preliminary injunction for a franchise and distribution client.
  • Helped achieve a settlement favorable for one of the nation's largest real estate companies in a competition case.
