Biography

Nicole Grimmesey defends a wide range of healthcare providers against claims of professional liability. She handles cases from pre-litigation through final disposition and has extensive trial experience, including as first chair and as an actively involved second chair member of the trial team. 

Before joining WTO, Nicole was an associate in the Denver office of a national law firm, where she defended clients in healthcare professional liability and other litigation.

Cases

  • Won a defense verdict in a $110 million birth injury jury trial in Portland, Oregon.
  • Representing a healthcare facility in a medical malpractice case involving alleged birth injuries and $50 million in damages.
  • Obtained a complete defense jury verdict in a $26 million medical malpractice trial involving alleged birth injuries, as a second chair.
  • Obtained both dismissal of a medical malpractice case against a hospital for injuries allegedly arising from the tortious conduct of another party, and an order to collect attorneys' fees and costs.
