Open Positions:

Director of Information Services (IS)
This is a senior-level position with overall responsibility for planning, managing, and directing the technology, communications, and information systems of the firm. Directs the planning, budgeting, and implementation; reviews new products and systems; oversees the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of the network, hardware, telecommunications, email, and desktop infrastructure; oversees the  information development and support teams, including systems and hardware, applications, user support, records, and document processing; and is responsible for all exempt and nonexempt personnel directly engaged in these activities. This position is additionally responsible for the day-to-day issues and strategic leadership of information services and technology-related operations in a large law firm. Reports to the Executive Director.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in information services/technology.
  • Experience overseeing a team of information management and technical talent.
  • Demonstrated expertise with local and wide area network implementation, operation, maintenance, and security. 
  • Demonstrated experience with desktop, notebook, handheld, and server computer technology and applications.
  • Familiarity directing the use of electronic technology to improve the storage, retrieval, and use of information in a large organization, preferably a law firm.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

Litigation Paralegal
Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell is seeking full time, experienced Litigation Paralegals. These positions will support a team of partners and associates in our litigation firm and require experience in large case management, docketing, cite-checking, experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, and strong trial experience. Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of trial and litigation experience, Bachelor’s degree, and an ABA-approved paralegal certificate.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Independent case management including document organization, discovery and database management, trial preparation, calendaring/docketing and familiarity with federal and state court rules/procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Four year degree and a paralegal certificate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, PowerPoint, Westlaw/LexisNexis and Trial Director
  • Must have a minimum of seven years of experience managing all phases of complex litigation including going to trial
  • Strong communication & analytical skills
  • Excellent written skills
  • Ability to multitask and switch between tasks easily
