WTO Named to NLJ's 2015 Midsize Hot List
Denver: The National Law Journal has named Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell to its 2015 Midsize Hot List. Each year, the NLJ highlights 20 law firms in the U.S. that set the bar for legal services among firms with 51 to 150 lawyers. WTO is one of only two litigation boutiques on the 2015 Midsize Hot List and is the only firm recognized that primarily defends high-stakes, nationwide, civil litigation.
The profile of WTO emphasizes the firm's unique culture and name-brand clients. “The enthusiasm is infectious at WTO,” reports the NLJ, pointing to national litigation victories in 2014 for Whirlpool, Mercedes-Benz USA, and Pfizer. The article also highlighted back-to-back legal malpractice trial wins for managing partner Carolyn Fairless in the summer of 2014.
Eric Sharon, Chief Litigation Counsel for Whirlpool and a WTO client since 2001, reflected on the firm for the article: “‘These are some of the best lawyers that you can get. They're not part of a 1,000-lawyer firm where people are coming and going. It's a midsize firm that keeps it that way intentionally and is selective about the type of people they hire.’"
Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell LLP defends some of the nation's best-known entities and professionals in civil disputes that threaten their businesses, brands, reputations, people, and relationships. In the past five years alone, WTO lawyers have tried over 45 cases to verdict nationwide. Our lawyers serve as national counsel in high-stakes trials, appeals, arbitrations, and related complex matters, including class actions, mass torts, and multidistrict litigation.
