Biography

Brett Tobin represents clients in healthcare professional liability cases and other civil litigation. Prior to joining WTO, he held roles including trial counsel with the U.S. Army JAG Corps and Special Assistant United States Attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado. He also served as an honors law clerk with the FBI and a judicial law clerk with the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. With family members in healthcare, Brett sought out medical practice areas and finds fulfillment in representing physicians, hospitals, and other providers.

Through his government background, he has experience with a range of legal matters, from directing administrative and criminal investigations to government contracting, estate planning, and consumer finance.

Brett was an NCAA Division 1 student-athlete. As a triple jumper, he earned All Big East Track and Field honors. He is conversational in Spanish and has had experience speaking Thai and Arabic.

Cases

  • Represented the United States in hundreds of criminal proceedings from arraignment through sentencing.
  • Served as first or second chair trial counsel prosecuting crimes punishable by general and special courts-martial under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
