DENVER: Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell managing partner Carolyn Fairless has been named one of Benchmark Litigation's 2014 Top 250 Women in Litigation. The organization lauds Fairless as a "celebrated" legal malpractice lawyer and cites peers in the profession who praise her skills:
"She is a lawyer's lawyer, representing the largest firms. I think she would be considered one of the very, very top women lawyers." One simply concludes, "[She is] the best of the best."
Firm chairman Michael O'Donnell notes, "This honor clearly recognizes Carolyn's accomplishments as a premier trial lawyer and one of the leading legal malpractice attorneys in the country." Fairless's recent trial achievements include back-to-back complete defense verdicts in two complex legal malpractice jury trials in four weeks.
Fairless is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers, Chambers USA, Colorado Super Lawyers, and Law Week Colorado for her work in practices including legal malpractice defense, commercial litigation, and insurance disputes.
As the basis of selection to the Top 250, Benchmark states, "The decision to feature a distinguished female litigator was based primarily on targeted research completed during the US Benchmark Litigation review process. Peer review and overall depth of their litigation careers were important elements during this research."
