Biography

Danielle Trujillo represents clients in commercial litigation, appellate, professional liability, and product liability matters. Danielle has trial experience and has argued motions, taken depositions, led pre-suit investigations, and assisted in drafting winning dispositive motions. 

Prior to joining WTO, Danielle served as a law clerk to Justice Richard L. Gabriel of the Colorado Supreme Court, as well as a law clerk to the judges of the Twentieth Judicial District of Colorado. While in law school, she argued before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, resulting in the successful reversal of an order dismissing a pro se plaintiff’s excessive force case.

Danielle's personal interests include dancing, baking, and enjoying the Colorado Avalanche.

Cases

  • Represented a civil rights organization in certiorari and merits-stage briefing before the U.S. Supreme Court in a Fourth Amendment case with national implications.
  • Representing an oil and gas company in a regulatory appeal involving $100+ million development efforts.
  • Member of the trial team in an eight-day bench trial involving various breach of contract and breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing claims.
  • Represented an energy company in a suit involving claims for breach of a lease agreement, tortious interference, and civil conspiracy.
  • Successfully moved to dismiss product liability claims involving a Class III medical device on preemption grounds.
