Biography

Judith Araujo has significant experience representing clients in commercial litigation and other disputes. Her trial experience includes serving as the lead associate in two multi-week trials, where she conducted direct and cross-examinations and argued evidentiary issues and a motion for judgment. She has handled matters throughout the litigation process, from pre-litigation through appeal, and has experience with contract disputes as well as intellectual property cases. Colorado Super Lawyers recognizes Judith as a Rising Star. 

Her clients have included companies in the manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, construction, aviation, energy, defense, and healthcare industries.

She has significant discovery experience, has taken and defended various depositions, managed eDiscovery teams, and handled discovery disputes.

Cases

Matters Prior to WTO

  • Won a multimillion-dollar verdict following a three-week jury trial for a large electric cooperative in litigation involving claims for breach of contract, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and negligence.
  • Won a verdict for the client on all counts following a two-week bench trial. The team defended a global manufacturer in complex federal litigation involving false advertising, passing off, copyright infringement, unfair competition, and breach of contract claims.
  • Obtained an early consent injunction and settlement for a nationally known sporting goods company in the District of Delaware in litigation to enforce utility patents and trademarks.
  • Advised a leading telecommunications company regarding risks associated with government contracts and compliance with laws and regulations governing cloud services.
  • Helped clients navigate the requirements for and successfully obtain COVID-19 relief appropriations, including Paycheck Protection Program and state-administered funds.
  • Assisted an information technology security consulting firm with master services agreements, statements of work, and subcontracting agreements.
