Kevin Kuhn Elected Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers
Denver: Kevin Kuhn, a partner in the national civil-litigation firm Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell (WTO), has been inducted as a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL). Mr. Kuhn joins two other WTO partners, Malcolm Wheeler and Michael O’Donnell, as Fellows.
The IATL is recognized as the most prestigious organization of trial lawyers in the world and comprises an elite group of defense and plaintiff trial lawyers. Only 500 attorneys in the entire United States may be active Fellows at a given time, and each is invited to join only after close vetting.
Throughout an impressive career, Mr. Kuhn has tried more than 135 cases to verdict. He has extensive experience defending high-stakes medical malpractice and professional liability claims, in addition to catastrophic personal injury and complex commercial litigation. A former Air Force Colonel, Mr. Kuhn served for many years as a Judge Advocate General before entering private practice.
“Kevin is one of the top trial lawyers in the nation,” said WTO Chairman and IATL Fellow Michael O’Donnell. “His practice exemplifies the art of trial law, handling the highest-exposure cases and parachuting in to rehabilitate cases that are not developing as hoped or expected. Kevin is also a world-class wit and a pleasure to practice law beside. I have long been proud to call him my partner, and I am equally proud today to call him my Fellow.”
In addition to IATL, Mr. Kuhn is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, where he serves on the editorial board of the College’s journal, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He serves on numerous boards and committees, including the Colorado Supreme Court Jury System Standing Committee and, formerly, the Colorado Supreme Court Nominating Commission. Mr. Kuhn has been widely recognized by Best Lawyers, Benchmark Litigation, Colorado Super Lawyers, and Law Week Colorado, and he is Martindale-Hubbell AV Peer-Review Rated. Mr. Kuhn is an alumnus of the University of Oklahoma School of Law.
