Law Week Colorado: Jared Drotzmann a 2022 Outstanding Legal Professional

Date: 02.22.22

Denver: Law Week Colorado has selected WTO paralegal Jared Drotzmann as one of four Outstanding Legal Professionals for 2022. According to the newspaper, these professionals “regularly go above and beyond to help their firms, coworkers, and clients.”

The profile highlights Jared’s skills in the courtroom, where he frequently serves as trial director in high-stakes commercial, personal injury, and product liability cases. “I look at being a paralegal as kind of playing quarterback,” he says. Law Week  also highlighted his work researching opponents on social media—one of his favorite parts of the job. “That’s the fun for me—getting the truth of the matter.”

“Jared is one of our star paralegals,” says WTO Partner Craig May. “His knowledge and attention to detail are second to none. I truly could not do my job without him.”

The article chronicles Jared’s path to becoming a paralegal, which started after he watched the film Erin Brockovich. The role is the right fit for his tireless work ethic, which he says was cultivated in his childhood. His mother often worked two or three jobs, and he also spent time living and working on his grandparents’ farm in South Dakota. That training serves him well in litigation, where the work is hard and results are not always immediate. “Going and winning at trial . . . that’s where you get to see the fruits of your labor.”
