The NITA Foundation Recognizes WTO as its 2012 Outstanding Firm Donor
On November 15th, the NITA Foundation celebrated National Philanthropy Day by acknowledging WTO as one of three inspiring donors whose support made an impact on NITA's "learn-by-doing" legacy and mission to improve access, fairness, and credibility of adversarial justice systems through the training of effective, ethical, and efficient advocates.
In the 2012 giving year, WTO became the founding sponsor of a NITA scholarship program for public service lawyers. The firm donated $10,000 so that 10 public service attorneys could attend NITA training seminars. This donation covered full-tuition and also offered need-based travel assistance for these lawyers, who represent those in communities of people who traditionally are unable to afford legal services. WTO has a long-standing history with NITA as 10 partners have served as NITA faculty and attendance at NITA programs is an integral part of the development and training of WTO associates.
