WTO obtains defense verdict in wrongful death medical malpractice trial in Boston
The WTO trial team of Joe Farchione and Nathan Murphy obtained a complete defense verdict on behalf of their healthcare clients in a two-week medical malpractice trial in Boston. The case involved the tragic death of a 14-year-old girl from hydrocephalus, or water surrounding her brain.
WTO represented four psychiatric hospital nurses who had treated the girl, including one who admitted negligence for herself and implicated the remaining three. WTO argued that the confessed nurse's negligence was not the proximate cause of the girl's death and that the remaining nurses acted within the scope of their responsibilities.
After two days of deliberating, the jury returned a complete defense verdict on behalf of all of WTO's clients.
