Three for Four: Benchmark Litigation Names WTO 2018 Colorado Firm of the Year
Denver: For the third time in four years, Benchmark Litigation has named Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell (WTO) the Colorado Firm of the Year. This is WTO’s second consecutive selection. The firm was honored at a New York City awards celebration on February 15.
WTO attorneys tried 22 trials and arbitrations in eight states and Washington, D.C., in 2017. The firm also argued 10 appeals nationwide. Highlights included:
- appellate opinions for Michelin, Foster Wheeler, and Whirlpool in the Second, Fourth, and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeals, respectively;
- wins for Ford and GM in the Colorado Supreme Court; and
- trial verdicts in Colorado, Kentucky, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
"We are honored by this recognition, especially among a field of such excellent competitors," said firm chairman Michael O'Donnell, who accepted the award for WTO.
The Firm of the Year honor caps an exciting season for WTO in this directory. Benchmark ranked the firm among the top 30 firms in the nation for product liability defense; listed WTO in the top tier in Colorado for litigation; named 19 WTO attorneys to its Colorado list (the next closest firm had six lawyers listed); named three WTO attorneys--Andrew H. Myers, Kathryn Reilly, and Theresa Wardon--to its Under 40 Hot List; and included managing partner Carolyn Fairless in its national Top 250 Women in Litigation for the fifth consecutive year.
