“WTO’s repeat ranking on Vault’s list affirms our commitment to provide associates with stand-up experience and significant client responsibility, and ensure they have the support to thrive,” said WTO Partner & Recruiting Chair Andrew Unthank. “We treat associates as future partners, and that works well for everyone—associates, clients, and the firm.”

WTO has appeared on Vault’s Best Midsize Law Firms to Work For list numerous times, including two years in the Top 10, earning #5 and #8 rankings in 2016 and 2018, respectively. In 2021 the firm just missed the Top 10, coming in at #11.

Each year, Vault surveys law firm associates nationwide to compile its rankings. According to Vault, "associates score their own law firm based on their personal experience." The guide assesses firms based on associate ratings in 11 distinct areas. The resulting scores inform the overall rankings.
