Denver Business Journal Names WTO #2 Best Place to Work by Size

Date: 05.18.16

Denver: Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell (WTO) has been named the #2 Best Place to Work in Denver in the extra-large company category in 2016. For the second year in a row, WTO is the top-ranked law firm across all size categories. The survey was conducted by the Denver Business Journal and Quantum Workplace.

According to Quantum Workplace, top companies achieve a threshold level of employee participation in the survey. Responses are then compiled and evaluated to determine an overall employee engagement score in each workplace. DBJ publisher Pete Casillas writes, "The survey measures 10 key engagement categories focusing on team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits.”

“This is one of the most meaningful awards we can receive,” says managing partner Carolyn Fairless. "It means we continue to have the best employees, and we continue to create an environment where our employees feel valued and respected. People are excited about the work they do here.”

In 2008, 2010, and 2012 WTO was ranked the #1 best place to work in Denver by size. The firm appeared on the Best Places to Work list every year from 2004-2012 and 2015. The DBJ suspended the survey after 2012, and 2015 marked the return of the Best Places to Work contest.

Since 2010, Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell lawyers have won 46 complex trials, 51 arbitrations, and 37 significant appeals nationwide. WTO represents sophisticated clients in high-stakes civil trials, appeals, arbitrations, and related matters, including class actions, mass torts, and multidistrict litigation. The firm was established in 1998 and today numbers 98 lawyers.
