Won a defense verdict in an $18 million obstetrical malpractice trial in Ohio.

A WTO team led by Joe Farchione won a complete defense verdict in a medical malpractice trial in Youngstown, Ohio. The case involved allegations that WTO's client, an obstetrician, acted negligently, resulting in catastrophic injuries to a newborn who now requires 24/7 care.

Called in just three weeks prior to trial, WTO lawyers worked with local counsel and were able to demonstrate to the jury that our client gave reasonable advice that was simply ignored by the mother. The jury deliberated for about an hour before delivering the unanimous defense verdict.
