Date: 04.04.24

Denver – Cecilie M. Loidolt, who has tried 60 lawsuits to juries in her three decades of defending clients in high-exposure medical malpractice matters, has joined Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell (WTO).

WTO Of Counsel Cecilie Loidolt

Cecilie is based in Minneapolis, where she has built a booming national trial practice. She often serves as national counsel for healthcare providers and is nationally recognized by the Best Lawyers in America. Cecilie has significant experience representing medical providers and healthcare organizations in eight-figure birth injury cases.

“We could not be more thrilled to introduce Cecilie to our healthcare clients. She is tough to beat in the courtroom, truly fights for her clients—and has an impressive 30-year track record to prove it,” says Joe Farchione, a member of WTO’s management committee and a leader in the firm’s healthcare practice.

Cecilie has won high-profile trials, including a first-of-its-kind opioid addiction case for a pain specialist. Her recent victories also include winning a defense verdict for a doctor in a $40 million stroke case and a defense verdict for an anesthesia team in a paralysis case involving spinal surgery.

She frequently speaks on medical malpractice trends and is President Elect of the Litigation Counsel of America. Minnesota Super Lawyers featured Cecilie in the article, “The Gunslinger, The Bulldog or The Pit Bull: Call her what you want—Cecilie Loidolt just wins.” She also has been named Lawyer of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer.

Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell lawyers have taken more than 1,100 trials and arbitrations to verdict or award and 300 appeals to opinion all across the nation, with exceptional results for our clients.
Established in 1998, WTO today numbers more than 110 trial lawyers and litigators. The firm represents sophisticated clients in high-stakes civil trials, appeals, and related litigation ranging from complex commercial to class actions to catastrophic torts.
