Biography

Abigail Thompson has experience representing clients in complex litigation. She has drafted substantive briefings, discovery schedules, depositions, and direct and cross-examination outlines, as well as applied the procedural and substantive laws of different countries to international disputes. Prior to joining WTO, Abigail represented clients in international commercial and investor-state arbitrations as an associate at an Am Law 100 firm in Houston and most recently as a senior associate at an Am Law 50 firm in London.  

Abigail has also maintained a pro bono practice in national and public international law since law school, providing representation in asylum and immigration matters, as well as research and drafting support to pleadings before public international institutions, including the European Court of Human Rights.

While in law school, Abigail interned for the Honorable Chief Justice Zel Fischer of the Supreme Court of Missouri and worked as a student attorney for the Stanford Law School Criminal Defense Clinic.
