Biography

Beth represents clients in complex employment litigation, commercial litigation, and professional liability matters. Beth has extensive experience with complex motions practice and has been the primary author of successful motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss. 

Before joining WTO, Beth was a Judicial Law Clerk for Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Brian D. Boatright.

Cases

  • Obtained a complete, early dismissal of a complaint filed against an attorney in the Colorado Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, arising from the attorney's representation of a client's bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Successfully compelled several claims to arbitration in a wage and contract dispute, significantly limiting the scope of the litigation.
  • Successfully dismissed three claims on a motion to dismiss and the two remaining claims on case-ending summary judgment for an employer involved in a six-figure dispute with a former employee. Claims included breach of contract, promissory estoppel, wage theft, retaliation, and age discrimination.
  • Prepared and submitted an amicus brief for the Texas Civil Rights Project to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit addressing municipal and public officer liability issues raised by challenge to Texas S.B. 12.
  • Won a motion for partial summary judgment for the defendant in a six-figure business dispute arising out of a business divorce, resulting in the dismissal of all claims moved on and leading to a favorable settlement on the sole remaining claim.
  • Drafted an amicus brief to the Colorado Supreme Court addressing Colorado's equal protection guarantee and the rights afforded to criminal defendants.
  • Participated in substantive trial preparation for a leading medical technology company in litigation regarding MRI contrast dye, including drafting direct and cross-examination outlines, opening statement, and assisting with witness preparation.
