Biography

Iva Velickovic represents clients facing complex commercial and professional liability claims. Prior to joining WTO, Iva served as a law clerk to the Hon. Janet C. Hall of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. Iva conducted legal research and drafted judicial opinions in civil cases involving all areas of law, often focusing on civil procedure and federal jurisdiction. She was also a Skadden Fellow at the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network.

Cases

  • Obtained decertification of an FLSA conditional collective that had been certified before WTO took over the case. After the decertification decision was issued, lawyers for the plaintiffs conceded that another pending nationwide case—which WTO also is defending—should be decertified as well.
