Law Week Colorado Names LaMar Jost a Top Litigator
Law Week Colorado has named Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell Partner LaMar Jost a 2024 Top Litigator. In its profile, the publication emphasizes the major results that Jost achieved for clients—saving them $122 million in damages in 2023 alone.
“LaMar had a monster year,” says WTO Managing Partner Mike Williams. “He is always there for his clients, and he always does everything in his power to deliver for them.”
Jost represents healthcare professionals and organizations in high-stakes medical malpractice trials. 2023 highlights include:
- A defense verdict for a family medicine clinic and nurse practitioner in a $40 million trial in Iowa;
- A defense verdict for a neurosurgeon and his employer in a $27 million dollar trial, also in Iowa; and
- A precedent-setting appeal in Minnesota to affirm WTO’s summary judgment victory in a case there involving an obstetrician-gynecological practice.
“You’d be hard-pressed to find a Colorado medical malpractice defense lawyer who had a more successful 2023 than LaMar Jost,” said Joe Farchione, a partner on WTO’s medical malpractice defense team and WTO’s management committee. “It is a privilege to call LaMar my colleague.”
Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell lawyers have taken more than 1,100 trials and arbitrations to verdict or award and 300 appeals to opinion all across the nation, with exceptional results for our clients.
Established in 1998, WTO today numbers more than 110 trial lawyers and litigators. The firm represents sophisticated clients in high-stakes civil trials, appeals, and related litigation ranging from complex commercial to class actions to catastrophic torts.
