Won a jury defense verdict for an ER doctor in Minnesota.

Date: 09.11.24

WTO won a jury defense verdict for an emergency room doctor accused of failing to diagnose stroke. The patient demanded $15 million, and the verdict for the doctor followed a three-week trial in northern Minnesota.

The doctor treated the patient in the ER for a migraine, and the following day the patient was diagnosed with a stroke at another facility. Key moments for the WTO lawyers at trial included the plaintiff’s expert stroke neurologist admitting she made a mistake in misidentification of normal brain anatomy on imaging as clot.

WTO Of Counsel Cecilie Loidolt was first chair. Associate Blaire Bayliss was second chair.
