Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell has added Michael Baker as Of Counsel. He joins the firm after a combined five years as an attorney in the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) Anticompetitive Practice Divisions.

“From his roots as an antitrust litigator at a top Washington, D.C. firm to his work in-house to his time as an FTC lawyer, Mike brings our clients the experience and perspective they need,” said firm President Katie Reilly. “Mike is a terrific addition to our team as we continue our focus on antitrust and commercial litigation.”

Mike has significant experience, both as a government enforcer and in private practice, in government investigations and litigation involving an array of antitrust and competition claims. He has also represented clients before the FTC and the Department of Justice in all phases of merger review.

In addition to his FTC experience, he served as corporate counsel for an enterprise software solutions company, where he supervised copyright and unfair competition litigation. He began his career with Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C., representing clients in a wide range of industries on antitrust matters.

Mike earned his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.S.B.A., cum laude, in economics from the University of Richmond, Robins School of Business.
