Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell promoted Sara Van Deusen to the role of General Counsel. As the leader of the firm’s Office of the General Counsel, Sara serves as the top legal advisor to the firm’s lawyers and staff.

“WTO team members are immensely fortunate to have Sara. She is one of the firm’s most trusted advisors, and her sound guidance helps us all as lawyers and colleagues,” WTO President Carolyn Fairless said. “I am proud to call Sara the Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell GC.”

Sara focuses on loss prevention for the firm’s litigation practice and business operations. She leads the firm’s ethics and professional responsibility programs and manages compliance. She also provides advice on client relationships and various risk management issues related to firm operations. Additionally, she supervises WTO’s conflicts team.

She also was a shareholder at a law firm where she represented lawyers in disciplinary and admissions matters.
