Judge Jackson fielded questions on his career path, overcoming the adversities of being a Black attorney, imposter syndrome in corporate America, and the importance of community engagement.

“The forum was a valuable learning experience for participants,” said Whitt. “Judge Jackson spoke with candor and wit. This exposure is so powerful for aspiring attorneys, especially those from diverse backgrounds who may be the first in their families to enter the legal field.”

Judge Jackson’s legal career spanned five decades. During his practice, he represented thousands of Colorado citizens in legal matters. The National Bar Association selected Jackson for its Fred Gray Hall of Fame in 2021. Judge Jackson is also a leader with the Delta Eta Boulé Foundation in Denver, the organization that mentors many Black students, including WTO interns Markus Carter and Xavian Geiger.

Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell lawyers have taken more than 1,100 trials and arbitrations to verdict or award and 300 appeals to opinion all across the nation, with exceptional results for our clients.
