Date: 01.24.24

Denver – Lucas T. Ritchie, a nationally recognized securities litigator, has joined Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell (WTO) to launch the firm’s securities litigation and enforcement defense practice.

Lucas T. Ritchie

Luke previously was a partner at Lewis Brisbois, Moye White, and Jones & Keller. He is a frequent media resource for national and regional securities litigation matters and has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal, NPR, Denver Business Journal, and other outlets.

“Luke’s leadership will expand the firm’s representation of sophisticated clients in high-profile matters,” WTO Co-Managing Partner Mike Williams says. “Luke will play a central role in WTO’s new securities practice, and his varied experience will strengthen the firm’s capabilities in commercial litigation, particularly for clients in the banking and finance industries.”

Luke focuses on securities and enforcement defense litigation, investigations, and complex business disputes. Luke often is called on to lead and participate in joint defense efforts that involve some of the most respected law firms and lawyers in the country.

The National Law Journal named Luke a Litigation Trailblazer. Additionally, for the past three years, Colorado Super Lawyers named him to its Top 100 List, and he is nationally recognized by Best Lawyers and Benchmark Litigation. Law Week Colorado and 5280 magazine have both recognized Luke as a leading securities litigator in Colorado for multiple years.

Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell lawyers have taken more than 1,100 trials and arbitrations to verdict or award and 300 appeals to opinion all across the nation, with exceptional results for our clients.

Established in 1998, WTO today numbers more than 110 trial lawyers and litigators. The firm represents sophisticated clients in high-stakes civil trials, appeals, and related litigation ranging from complex commercial to class actions to catastrophic torts.
