Chambers USA 2017 recognizes Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell among the top litigation firms nationwide and in Colorado

Denver: Chambers USA 2017 has again recognized Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell (WTO) among the top litigation firms nationwide and in Colorado. The directory cites the firm’s “dominant trial practice” and lauds WTO as “celebrated for its talent in civil trials.”

“When I have a complex catastrophic claim, I think of these guys,” the directory quotes one client as reporting. “They consistently deliver the results.”

Chambers points to WTO's high-stakes representations for Michelin, Pfizer, and Whirlpool in its editorial. The publication ranks 11 WTO lawyers nationally and in Colorado.

Nationwide
WTO is ranked in Band 2 for Nationwide Product Liability & Mass Torts, putting the firm among the top 15 firms in the country. Five WTO lawyers are recognized as “Notable Practitioners” in this practice area, tying WTO for most in the nation. They include John Fitzpatrick (Band 3), Jim Hooper (Band 5), Michael O’Donnell (Band 5), Jack Trigg (Senior Statesmen), and Malcolm Wheeler (Senior Statesmen). Only three other firms have five “Notable Practitioners” in this area.

Fitzpatrick also earned special recognition on the Spotlight table for Nationwide Product Liability: Toxic Torts. Only two other lawyers in the nation are ranked for Toxic Torts.

Colorado
Chambers ranked WTO in Band 1 for Colorado for General Commercial Litigation. Only one other firm is ranked in Band 1. Eight WTO lawyers were recognized as “Notable Practitioners,” twice as many as the next closest firm. They are: Scott Barker (Band 2), Carolyn Fairless (Band 3), John Fitzpatrick, (Band 1), Hugh Gottschalk (Band 2), Michael O’Donnell (Band 1), Katie Reilly (Up and Coming), Malcolm Wheeler (Senior Statesmen), and Michael Williams (Band 4).

For the eighth year in a row, Ray Martin is recognized in Band 1 for Colorado Labor & Employment. The firm is recognized in Band 3 in that practice area.
