Biography

Zach Lange, CEDS, leverages over 16 years of expertise to architect practical, tech-driven eDiscovery solutions for highly regulated industries. He guides clients through the complex discovery lifecycle while strictly balancing budget constraints and legal mandates. His industry depth spans clients across a diverse range of industries, including consumer products, automotive, medical devices, healthcare, financial services, residential real estate, and energy and industrial sectors.

Zach provides sophisticated counsel across all phases of the eDiscovery lifecycle. By integrating artificial intelligence and advanced algorithmic search technologies into the EDRM process, he enhances accuracy while driving cost-effective outcomes for clients. He was a contributor to the EDRM Revision project that updated the underlying documentation of the EDRM model to reflect changes in technology, process, and the law.

His practice includes the development of tailored discovery protocols, formal ESI negotiations with adversarial counsel, vendor oversight, and rigorous privilege determinations. Through disciplined management of document and ESI review operations, Zach delivers structured, defensible results that insulate clients from sanctions and streamline complex corporate litigation

Zach stays at the forefront of evolving eDiscovery practices and technologies. He regularly participates in the Sedona Conference Institute Program on eDiscovery and attends LegalTech New York, both recognized leaders in eDiscovery innovation and practice development. He also teaches continuing legal education programs on emerging eDiscovery tools and developments in discovery law.

Cases

  • Participated in an international electronic discovery investigation for a computer hardware manufacturer in response to investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, and the European Commission.
  • Assisted in the successful resolution of 21 arbitrations as part of WTO's Chrysler Group Franchise Arbitrations Team, including the drafting and assembly of multiple successful motions submitted prior to final hearings. These followed the bankruptcy of Chrysler Group in 2010.
  • Successfully managed the process of harvesting, filtering, analyzing, and producing electronically stored information (ESI) in numerous complex litigation matters.
