Date: 06.28.23

Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell (“WTO”) partner Cedric Logan is now admitted to practice in state and federal courts in New Mexico. Over 15 years, Cedric has built a robust practice representing many of the nation’s leading insurers in high-stakes coverage disputes and bad faith litigation.

Cedric has represented multiple entities in New Mexico coverage disputes. Most recently, he concluded a high-exposure dispute over hail damage in New Mexico, and he won dismissal of a putative federal class action against a major health plan.

Elsewhere, Cedric recently won a federal case relieving WTO’s client of insurance coverage obligations in 10 separate lawsuits. In 2022, Cedric tried an insurance coverage arbitration resulting in a directed verdict for the insurer in a case worth $100 million.

Cedric also served on the trial team that won reversal for American Family of a $3 million property appraisal award and disqualification of the plaintiff’s national property appraiser and the umpire due to their lack of impartiality. In a similar case, Cedric and WTO persuaded a federal court to vacate a $10.87 million property insurance award because the appraiser and plaintiff’s counsel had concealed a longstanding business relationship.

Prior to joining WTO in 2012, Cedric served in the New York City office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. He earned his juris doctor from New York University School of Law and his undergraduate degree in political science and philosophy from the University of Rochester.

In addition to his legal practice, Cedric gives generously of his time. He served for more than five years on the board of directors for Purple Door Coffee, a specialty coffee shop in Denver that employs teens and young adults who seek to leave homelessness behind.

Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell lawyers practicing today have taken more than 1,100 trials and arbitrations to verdict or award and hundreds of appeals to opinion all across the nation, with exceptional results for our clients.

Established in 1998, WTO currently numbers more than 110 trial lawyers and litigators. The firm represents sophisticated clients in high-stakes civil trials, appeals, and related litigation ranging from complex commercial to class actions to catastrophic torts.
